| Tips on finding the right pose for a pet portrait. |
Taking great photos of your favorite pet is harder than it looks. 1. The first step is being patient. If your pet does not like to be in one spot for very long, you will have a big task on your hands. try to wait until he/she has worn themselves out a little and are ready to settle down. 2. The next step is making them happy and wanting to please you. Do this by having some yummy treats handy Once you have their attention, they'll be focused on you and willing to please to get the treat. 3. A good background. If you are wanting a pop art style, please try to keep the background clear and a white background is best. Choose a time of day when the sun will be behind you to reduce shadows if you're outdoors. 4. Take your pet’s fur color into consideration when choosing a location. A black dog will not photograph well on a dark setting. 5. Make your pet the main focus of the picture. A good head shot works well for this kind of print. When sending photos by email, please do not reduce them in size. They must be at least 300 dpi resolution for a clear print. |
