The term "stretched canvas" refers to the way the canvas is stretched over the wooden
supports. The image "wraps" around the side of the supports and is stapled onto the back.
This is a finished look that allows you to hang the piece without a frame. Even though a piece
is gallery wrapped, you may still frame it.
